Our previous match wtih celtic boys ended up a heavy defeat so a much changed performance was needed.
10 oclock kick of at hydebank and a cup match into the bargain.
we lined up with the formation 3 4 3 which i feel is a real test for the boys but it seams to suit our style of football.
we began the game very brightly with passages of play through dylan on the left and curtis in the centre of midfield but the opening chance fell to celtic boys pulling of a great save from our keeper eddie van der power.
we struck 1st with a well taken goal from tristan mccormick who has now settled in well playing centre forward. that was on 14 minutes and it took celtic boys by suprise because they then realised that they were not going to get it their own way the boys are now playing at a really good level.
28 minute gone and a bad goal was conceded an in swinging corner found its way into the net.
Coming out into the second half 1 - 1 we again dominated the play and we created 3 good chances to rap the game up but again lady luck was not on our side when celtic boys were awarded a very soft penelty in the 59th minute here we go again poor decessions from sub standard referreeing !!!!!!!!
Up stepped the celtic boy who struck a well placed shot but to his dismay the ref made him take it again because of incroachment by 3 of their players. So again he set the ball down struck it well but eddy van der power made a wonderful save only to se the ball drop to a celtic player who finished it of.
Unlucky boys but to your credit the football we are playing is great to watch and the standard is getting to were we need to be.
final score ards 1 celtic boys 2
Man of the match eddie van der power
